The Helvie® thumbnail gouges are a push tool. Each of the gouges have a palm tool handle measuring approximately 2 5/8" long. Handles come in a natural wood of our choosing. These are similar to the Bullnose Gouges with the exception of having a curved cutting end.  Push them straight and you only cut in the center of the blade, rotate either left or right and you have a smaller cutting plain. Great tool for cleaning out those tight in between spots, relief carving, etc.

Mini Thumb Nail Gouge – The blade measures approximately 1 1/4" in length and 3/16" in width, .035" (.889mm) thick.

Small Thumb Nail Gouge - The blade measures approximately 1 1/2" in length and 3/8" in width, .035" (.889mm) thick.

Medium Thumb Nail Gouge - The blade measures approximately 1 5/8" in length and 1/2" in width, .035" (.889mm) thick.

Large Thumb Nail Gouge - The blade measures approximately 1 3/4" in length and 5/8" in width, .035" (.889mm) thick.

Blades are a scandi grind, beveled on one side only.
